Cabco Achieves Silver Level in the Avaya Connect Channel Program

CANS Connect Video Conferencing and Distance Learning platform officially launches with support of the Province of Nova Scotia
July 12, 2013 – Cabco is pleased to be working with the Construction Association of Nova Scotia (CANS) to launch CANS Connect, a unique high definition video conferencing, collaboration and distance education training platform.
With funding from the Province of Nova Scotia and CANS, CANS Connect is an important technological advancement that enables construction workers and companies across the province to access industry training from their PC or mobile tablet device, without requiring special hardware or a costly commute to participate.
The system at the Dartmouth CANS office, installed and integrated by Cabco, also features two rooms each equipped with a LifeSize video conferencing camera system, featuring a document camera mounted in the ceiling. This permits CANS members the opportunity to conduct multi-party video conferences and content sharing in real time high definition, at a reasonable rate. Members will also be able to rent ports on the system’s multi-point bridge, which will enable interaction with other room-based video conferencing systems located anywhere.
CANS Connect offers CANS members considerable value not only for the ease of access to training, but also an opportunity to collaborate with customers, subcontractors, designers, etc. without necessitating an investment in video conferencing, recording and streaming infrastructure.
